Why I Built This
It Started as Sharing Drills. It Became a Plan.
When I started Grassroots Football UK, it was simple. Just a coach helping other coaches find ideas for Tuesday nights. Sharing drills. Putting things out there that worked for my teams and hoping they'd work for someone else's.
But as I worked through my coaching badges, something shifted. I realised the drills weren't the problem. Every grassroots coach can find drills. The problem was what to do with them — how to put them together into something that actually built players over time, not just filled an hour on a cold Tuesday night.
The only structured plans that existed were academy plans. Built for academy players. Following an academy system.
They didn't work for grassroots — because grassroots isn't the academy.
"Grassroots coaches don't need an academy plan. They need their own plan — built around their players, their team, what those specific kids actually need."
So I built a framework that works differently. It gives you the structure of a proper plan — but the freedom to decide what that plan is.

I've used it with Jack's U10s at Stapleford Town Warriors. With Fred's U12s at Breaston Park. Same framework, two different age groups, two different competitions. Both won cups on the same weekend. Both promoted the season after. Their grandma posted five words on Facebook.
